InSite Engineering professionals provided site engineering and permitting services for the Canal Crossing redevelopment project. The project consists of 156 townhouse units on 14 acres. InSite professionals worked closely with the client remediation consultant to construct the site infrastructure over a deed-restricted soil cap. InSite’s professionals were successful In obtaining NJDEP water, sewer, and stream encroachment permits as well as approval from the Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission and local agencies. The completion of this project and revitalization of this site has sparked additional community improvements in the way of downtown streetscape changed that include new benches, street lighting, sidewalks and decorative pavers.
