InSite is currently handling all aspects of the design and approval of a residential subdivision within a former sand and gravel mining pit.  Due to the challenging topography of this site (a “bowl”), a stormwater retention pond has been incorporated into the design not only as a stormwater management solution, but also as an appealing landscape feature in this secluded community.

During our initial evaluation of the property, it was evident that the steep slopes around the perimeter of the former mining pit required immediate attention.  A landscape plan and construction procedure was prepared to stabilize the slopes, with forethought to compliment the final aesthetic appeal of the community.
